James was eight years old when his hair journey started. He began by washing and rolling hair as an assistant to his cousin. Next, he would practice on his niece, and by High School, he had a nice clientele. James attended Pensacola Junior College (now Pensacola State College) for their Cosmetology program, and took those talents to Fantastic Sams for his first job. He then worked in other salons including Smart Styles, Aveda and Dillard’s before he decided to step out on faith and open his own. Hard work does pay off, and from that hard work came James The Great Hair Salon, where he specializes in all types of hair. He is now entering the next phase of entrepreneurship by partnering with Papa Ham's and introducing his first hair product, Redolence, which has also been a lifelong dream of his. Redolence is a hair deodorizer that you can use anytime in any situation to keep your hair smelling and feeling fresh. Due to a man having a vison, this product is now available to the world, and really proves that James is THE GREAT!
